Maylands, Hemel Hempstead

Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Maylands avenue has surmounted many obstacles to becoming the commercial hub today. Maylands is located in the Eastern region of England within Adeyfield East Ward and forms part of the larger Hemel Hempstead Constituency.

After the Buncefield fire that grappled the area in 2005, Maylands, formerly known as Maylands Avenue factory estate, transformed into the Maylands Business Park. This urban setting managed by the local Dacorum Authority has a sculpture standing tall at the heart of the neighbourhood. It is a symbolic testament of the far the estate has come and the far it is going.

Although relatively small compared to its counterparts, Maylands proves to be a central economic hub for Hemel Hempstead. The value of the real estate in Maylands skyrockets by the day as the place is on a continuous upward trajectory. There are different dwellings within the area, with the most dominant being terraced houses and purpose-built houses (flat).

The demand for property in this part of Hemel Hempstead is rapidly growing as the area becomes a hotbed of opportunity. The residents of Maylands are peaceful, welcoming, and hardworking, with a large share of individuals holding professional positions.

At 55 Maylands Avenue sits a modern structure home to many of the businesses in the region. Strategically situated a mile from junction 8 of the Motorway M1, with a road connecting it directly to the m25 junction, this building is easily accessible.

Popular entities that have taken residence in the building include Costa Coffee, the giant coffeehouse chain, and a subsidiary of Coca-Cola Company providing the best-roasted coffee in the area. Lok’ nStore, the premium self-contained space provider in the UK, and the vast McDonalds’ franchise are but some big companies with offices within the premises.

Besides indulging in the local cuisines at the Maylands Cafe, visitors enjoy many other activities, including hot air ballooning across the entire Hemel Hempstead, zip-lining, and a dry ski run. There’s also Gadebridge Park, where children enjoy a day out in the wild while adults can hold lovely evening picnics. Other must-visit areas are the Amaravati Buddhist Monastery, St Mary’s Church, and Piccotts End Wall Paintings.

Without a doubt, Maylands offers the best of both worlds. Whether it’s business or pleasure, it is an area that provides the very best. A calm and serene environment is the icing on top. COVID-19 has affected operations, and the number of visitors has since been on a decline.
